Amman, May 7 (Petra) – Jordanian Academy for Government Administration and the Palestinian National School of Administration on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance joint cooperation in the fields of training, consulting, and administrative development, aimed to strengthen the two countries' public sector capacity building.
The memo aims to establish a joint framework for cooperation and the exchange of expertise.
This process seeks to develop and implement joint training and capacity-building programs for to the public sector.
Under the MoU, the two sides will also cooperate in research, studies, consulting, public policy development, innovation, digital transformation in the government sector, event organization, and other areas.
The memo was signed by Dr. Mustafa Hamarneh, the Academy's Chairman, representing Jordan, and Musa Abu Zeid, the School's Chairman, on behalf of Palestine.
Talking at the signing ceremony, Hamarneh noted the "deep-rooted brotherly" relations with Palestine form an "important" foundation for enhancing knowledge and administrative empowerment in both countries.
He said the memo reflects the academy's commitment to building "effective" partnerships with its counterpart Arab institutions.
He added that this cooperation would develop training programs and enhance efficiency in the public sector.
The collaboration, he noted, also aims to exchange "institutional" expertise and develop joint quality initiatives that meet requirements of government work and contribute to achieving corporate excellence based on the best global practices.
For his part, Abu Zeid said this memo represents a "significant" step to strengthen joint cooperation and exchange expertise in the management and training fields.
Abu Zeid expressed his hope this cooperation would be "constructive and beneficial" to both sides, adding that the joint programs would develop government competencies and enhancing institutional work.
He said an agreement was reached to implement a set of training packages and programs remotely, which would facilitate the participation of the two sides' trainees.
He stated all the Palestinian school's available capabilities and resources would be dedicated to achieving success of this cooperation and common goals.
